My name is Lynn. I am a Tarot card reader 🔮 and INFJ psychic empath 🌟

I have been a reader since 2009…but I have always been an empath. Tarot cards came along seven years ago on my journey, and I fell in love with the history of them and especially the story telling aspect woven into the art of each Tarot reading.

I am also a member and volunteer reader of EOL (Eyes of Learning) Metaphysical Learning Center established in 1983.

My metaphysical journey began in 2008, with my mentor and teacher, well-known psychic Holly Chalnick. After getting a reading from Holly on a rainy New Year’s Day in 2008, I was invited by Holly to join her “Psychic Development Group”. From that point I was also personally mentored by Holly for two years in intuitive psychic reading, psychometry, automatic writing, auras, chakras and other mystical modalities pertaining to the study and reading of “energy” in all of its forms.

It is amazing how many students my friend, psychic and spiritual awareness mentor and teacher Holly, pushed out of the “reader’s closet”, including Kim Russo and Pat Longo. If Holly never was, who knows where all of her many students and their students and those students’ students would be. Thank you, Holly, for your encouragement and support! I am forever grateful.

Holly passed in 2010, too young, too soon, much loved and greatly missed. I feel truly blessed to know her and be part of her circle and this amazing worldwide metaphysical and mystical community 🔮🙏✨

As of 2010 I was a professional reader; reading privately, at parties and at fairs. Being Catholic I did not initially start out using Tarot cards. Having Welsh English in my blood, I chose to use the round “Celtic Messages” divination cards by Joules Taylor along with psychometry in my readings for years. My journey with Tarot started later on and I embraced it wholeheartedly due to its amazing ability for guidance in all of life’s ups and downs. You see Tarot cards have been used, some historians say, as early as the 14th century in Italy and France. So, it should be understandable that Tarot decks, at their core, have images based on “Medieval Archetypes” which in present times could appear, well…scary. However, in modern day there are so many decks to choose from that are “less scary” if that is an issue for you. Once you have an understanding of what the “ART & IMAGES” mean then you become educated and no longer afraid of the “unknown” because now you know. The Middle Ages were scary but, truth be told, even life today can be scary. Since the 78 cards in a traditional Tarot deck represent “different stages or situations of life in it’s entirety”, the 22 Major Arcana for prominent life stages/events and the 56 Minor Arcana representing every day life situations/events with 4 suits: Pentacles, Swords, Wands, Cups. The 56 Minor Arcana include 16 Court Cards incorporating 1 of each suit for the: Page, Knight, Queen and King. I will get into detail regarding the meanings of the “suits” in a different post. Anyway, my point here is that a 78 card Tarot deck, represents real life in all it’s stages and situations, so having every single card appear wonderful, flowery and full of shooting stars would defeat the purpose of using the cards for guidance. If every card was designed to be “not scary or not show negative aspects” then the deck would be based solely on fantasy and not reality. We all know that real life can be amazing and real life can be devastating, and everything in between. We all hope for the best but truthfully, there is no “Crystal Ball”. What happens in a reading is that the concentration on the cards drawn pull meanings and messages from the subconscious that, having free will, one can choose or not choose to use for guidance. When you receive a Tarot reading, you are giving permission for someone to tap into the universal subconscious and the “energy of all” to tap into your energy and reveal answers. This is something we ALL can do. It is a gift ALL of us have been given 🙏 It is part of our natural “sixth sense(s)”. Concentrating on the cards spread out in a Tarot reading allows the conscious mind of the reader to focus on the images/art on the cards; leaving the subconscious mind to intuitively receive images, messages and feelings – similar to a computer download tapping into a higher source – in addition to utilizing the cards traditional and varied “book” meanings. This is the art of “divination” 🙏

Utilizing a Tarot deck that you clique and feel safe with can be a great tool for personal guidance. If personally you are not yet ready to use Tarot cards, oracle decks are a good choice. I have many oracle decks I use personally and in my practice that I absolutely love. Oracle cards are a great tool for self-reflection and guidance but usually will not paint “the full picture” as well as Tarot decks can. I use oracle cards to open, close, supplement and layer a reading. I read Tarot cards both traditionally and intuitively. So although I may have a few favorite Tarot decks, the meanings of the cards will not always be the same because it depends on the energy of the person being read, their circumstances (known or unknown), the questions asked, the spread used and the cards surrounding any given card that comes out.
